I always love to get more experiences, especially in my hometown, Saigon. I relish tasting new food, discovering new places and learning new skills. Trying new clothes, new styles and refreshing myself are always my kinds of thing. Going to concerts with my friends is amazing.
I was on the scooter with my friend who was taking me to her favorite street food in my city. She said That food was the most amazing dessert so far here.
Unsurprisingly, I’m not the only one! There are billions of people out there who love experiences as much as I do. According to Harry Group, since 1987, the share of consumer spending on live experiences and events relative to total U.S consumer spending increase 70 percent.
However, is it a right thing to do? Do curiosity and experiences psychologically bring us happiness and joyfulness? I remember years ago, when I was 14, so eager to ride my bicycle and go all over the streets and alleys of Saigon, as well as savor all the street food I hadn’t had a chance to try before. You know all of Vietnamese are staying in one city where we call Saigon. Like now, I'm sure you know Banh Mi, and how about Banh Mi Nuong Muoi Ot, check it out you’re still here. At that time, I didn’t know much about Saigon like I do now. Therefore the experience was truly astonishing. So, yes, they bring me full of joys and delights.
But how about the others? How about you? I don’t want to speak for anyone, but I do believe those things make us happy, from my point of view. Remember when you were a child, you were very captivated by all the things around you? It’s when you just had a little to no knowledge about the world and life is like an adventure, offering you chills and relish. As when we grow up, we also want my life be an adventure in Saigon , I think we still have curiosity, the urge and the joy of exploring new things, since it’s our instinct. Still, it’s somewhat diminished because we’ve been knowing more about the world and we know how dangerous it is. However, let’s remember when you have guts over your fear to do things you’ve been afraid to do and all the feelings after doing those. It’s great, right? Along with the feeling of exploring new things, the one of successfully conquering your fear is simply amazing and they’re exactly why more and more people nowadays appreciate experiences.
So, if you come to Ho Chi Minh city, let it be your best experience ever! Let’s ride on a scooter and discover new alleys you’ve never seen in any other places
And try eating the food you’ve never tried before: Vietnamese balut, Vietnamese Pancake, Chè - Vietnamese dessert, a bowl of ‘slippery’ ...
Of course, capture every moment you enjoy here! Don’t let the fear control you. We all want to have something to remember when we get older, don’t we?
